WWE has now confirmed earlier reports that the company will not be taking disciplinary action against Brock Lesnar as a result of him failing two US Anti-Doping Agency drug tests prior to UFC 200. A spokesperson issued the the following statement to TMZ on Tuesday, noting that Lesnar is not a full-time WWE performer and as a result, is not subject to the wellness policy:
“WWE’s talent wellness program does not apply to part-time performers such as Brock Lesnar.”
Lesnar reportedly tested positive for an estrogen-blocker, a substance that would typically result in a suspension for WWE Superstars.
He’s scheduled to face Randy Orton at SummerSlam on August 21st.
