Finn Balor is at the beginning of a long road to recovery. Balor underwent surgery last week to repair a torn labrum sustained at SummerSlam. The former Universal Champion will be chronicling his journey back to the ring and displays sheer exhaustion in the first installment.
Balor said the surgery was a lot more complicated than was first anticipated. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Dugas is shown explaining the severity of the tear and there’s also footage of Balor doing his first day of physical rehabilitation. Now that the procedure is behind him, he’s trying to wrap his mind around what’s ahead for him. Not only will the rehab be grueling, but he’s also going to miss being out of the ring for so long.

A 6-month recovery time would keep him out of action until late February, so even a big return at the Royal Rumble would require him to get back a month ahead of schedule.
