At Sunday night’s WWE No Mercy pay-per-view, SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon revealed Becky Lynch would be unable to compete on the show. He corroborated our report that Lynch is dealing with a non-physical health issue, which is not believed to be a serious condition.
Becky will not be stripped of the SmackDown women’s championship and Alexa Bliss will get her title shot at the November 8th SmackDown event from Glasgow, Scotland. The rematch booked for a month away indicates Becky could be out for several weeks, but there were also rumblings over the weekend that she’d appear on the PPV in a non-wrestling capacity.
Becky Lynch tweeted the following photo on Sunday night during the PPV, positive despite the undisclosed ailment.
Thank you all for the thoughts. I promise I'll do everything I can to get back ASAP and defend my title… I'm watching closely tonight pic.twitter.com/SWT8QLK9r0
