Former WWE Superstar and manager Frenchy Martin (Jean Gagné) has passed away after battling cancer. He was 66. WWE confirmed the news on Friday, extending its condolences to his family, friends and fans.
Gagné had been moved to a local hospice back in early September and given just a few more weeks to live. He commented then to The Montreal Journal, “I led an extraordinary life. I am proud to have succeeded in the world of wrestling. I am no more worthy than another, but I’m not afraid of death. I accept the result.”
Martin is probably best remembered as the manager of fellow French Canadian, Dino Bravo.
