It was recently announced that WWE is scheduled to introduce a new weekly cruiserweight series on the WWE Network titled “205 Live.” The new show will debut on November 29th following that night’s episode of Smackdown Live. The show will be filmed live for the ‘Network each Tuesday immediately following Smackdown. This means Talking Smack will move to a new timeslot at 11PM ET.
The Cruiserweights will remain exclusive to RAW for now, despite any rumors we’ve heard about Smackdown debuting their own cruiserweight division. In addition to “205 Live” and Smackdown, WWE will continue to film Main Event on Tuesdays, prior to the live broadcasts.
According to Dave Meltzer on this week’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, there’s already heat from certain people who’re angry about having to spend an extra hour at the arena each Tuesday night.
Superstars confirmed so far are Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick, Gran Metallik, Jack Gallagher, TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, Noam Dar, HoHo Lun, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, The Bollywood Boyz and Akira Tozawa, who’s being billed simply as “Tozawa.”
