On paper, Goldberg versus Brock Lesnar is a great matchup the WWE Universe wanted and asked to see for quite some time. As Summerslam went off the air, Lesnar left Randy Orton in a pool of his own blood and had some on his hands as the Brooklyn crowd chanted for Goldberg. WWE got the message loud and clear.
On Sunday night at Survivor Series, we’ll get to see the rematch between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. It’s a rare thing for the two men to get a second chance to have a better match after the disaster their first match turned out to be. However, there are some questions heading into the match that needs to be answered.
For instance, who is going to win? Either way, someone is going to have to take a big loss. There is a lot of potential in Goldberg’s comeback, so having him lose to Lesnar is a big hit to a possible Wrestlemania bout for the former WCW Superstar. However, Brock losing to Goldberg after not wrestling a match for twelve years isn’t going to make him look strong either. It would significantly hurt his “unbeatable” aura.
Unfortunately, WWE needs to make a choice and they’ve chosen Brock Lesnar over Goldberg. According to a report from CageSideSeats, Lesnar will be getting the victory over Goldberg at Survivor Series on Sunday, but Goldberg is expected to receive a huge sendoff after the match from the Toronto crowd.
