It appears Ryback is still trying to secure big money for his MMA debut.
The Big Guy announced on a Las Vegas radio show back in September that he had been in talks with Bellator and Bellator CEO Scott Coker later confirmed the talks but noted that they were not close to signing a deal.
The Wrestling Observer now reports that Ryback had preliminary negotiations with the Combate Americas MMA promotion this week. Speculation is that the talks won’t lead to a fight as the promotion Ryback would be looking for a large payday that wouldn’t fit with their payout structure.
It was noted back in September that Ryback’s decision to fight comes down to money, not the desire to fight like CM Punk had when he left WWE.
