WWE RAW announcer Michael Cole may be transitioning into a full-time backstage role with WWE, according to PWInsider. Cole has been an on-camera talent going back to 1997, starting as a backstage interviewer and is now the company’s senior broadcaster. In recent weeks there’s been a lot of talk regarding Michael Cole’s future with the company.
In addition to calling the action every Monday night, at pay-per-views and special events (like the UK Championship tournament), Cole already does some work behind the scenes helping out with production and grooming the younger announcers. He probably won’t be leaving the announcer’s desk in the immediate future, but it seems he’s giving strong consideration to the next chapter of his career.
