WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety over at JRsBarBQ.com. Topics discussed include WWE’s booking leading up to the Royal Rumble, New Japan Pro Wrestling’s show on AXS TV, this past weekend’s Bellator MMA show and more.
JR says WWE has done a great job building to Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view and the booking of this year’s added star power has been well executed.
“This Rumble event is one of the best booked WWE events in a good while in my opinion. There should be some outstanding developments occurring Sunday night to continue to build and forward the planned, Wrestlemania storylines. There are really no reasons why this event Sunday should not be a strong night of pro wrestling entertainment. Hopefully the talents will be of a an ‘I’m stealing the show’ mindset.”
Goldberg is the 2-1 betting favorite as of today via the bookmakers who actually take bets on pro wrestling events.
JR will be in San Antonio this weekend and hosts RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross at the Improv at River Center prior to the Rumble. Tickets are now available at Rivercitycomedyclub.com.
