A former strip club waitress filled condoms with an explosive mixture and put them in the post because she was fed up with men.
Kimberly Lynn Dasilva allegedly claimed she was tired of being badly treated by members of the opposite sex before sending the packages out.
They were sent to television and radio stations as well as a motorcycle club and two strip clubs in area where she lives in Boston, US.
They were found to contain a potentially explosive mixture of petrol and drain cleaner, but none actually blew up.
FBI documents unsealed at the district court in Boston said the 40-year-old mother-of-two had said she "couldn't take it any more".
She was arrested after FBI agents and state police found letters hidden in her ceiling that allegedly linked her to the bombs.
Dasilva was released from prison on a $10,000 (£5,747) unsecured bond.
She is due in court for a hearing on February 23.
When contacted by reporters she refused to comment.
