This week’s WWE SmackDown drew just 2.175 million viewers and set a new low for 2017. Last week’s episode, a taped show from London, drew 2.348 million viewers.
This week’s viewership is especially bad as this was the Backlash go-home edition of SmackDown with several matches and segments advertised ahead of time, including AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal and a main event of Baron Corbin vs. WWE Champion AJ Styles.
SmackDown was #9 in viewership and #4 in the 18-49 demographic this week. ESPN dominated the demographic with the NBA Playoffs finals, the NBA Draft Lottery special and SportsCenter.
By comparison, this week’s RAW averaged 2.751 million viewers, up from the 2.696 million viewers they drew last week.
Here are WWE’s Top 10 Moments from this week’s SmackDown.
