The storyline involving Enzo Amore being repeatedly attacked backstage might have a payoff that will reward viewers who are keeping a close eye on things.

Last week, Amore was attacked backstage and found by WWE officials laid out on the arena floor. His longtime tag team partner, Big Cass, was enraged by the incident and launched an investigation to find the attacker, prompting RAW General Manager Kurt Angle to conduct his own inquiry.

This past Monday night (May 29, 2017) Amore was again attacked backstage, however this time, a few potential suspects began to emerge. The Revival’s Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder returned to Monday Night RAW and were shown footage in which they were caught snooping around the arena the previous week on RAW. The pair immediately denied being Amore’s attackers and claimed that they’ve been backstage on RAW every week since Dash’s injury, but they were busy doing “top guy things” and wouldn’t waste their time with Amore.

Another interesting twist occurred when Big Cass came out and confronted commentator Corey Graves for his comments the previous week. Graves said that he thinks Big Cass could’ve been the man who attacked Enzo, and also said he’d like to shake the hand of the man who is responsible for the attack. Cass and Graves seemed to smooth things over, however, Cass smiled at Graves and shook his hand randomly:

Last week @WWEGraves said he'd like to shake the hand of @real1's attacker.. Then @BigCassWWE shakes his hand on RAWhttps://t.co/yZqEE1cfoi
