Former WWE European Champion and D-Generation X member Sean “X-Pac” Waltman hosted another episode of his podcast, X-Pac 12360, and interviewed mixed martial arts fighter Chael Sonnen, who takes on Wanderlei Silva at Bellator 180 tonight (Sat. June 24, 2017). During the show, X-Pac offered his thoughts on the controversial finish to last week’s first-ever female Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
James Ellsworth tossed Becky Lynch off the ladder and tried to get Carmella to regain herself and climb up to get the briefcase. Carmella was unable to stand, however, prompting Ellsworth to climb the ladder himself, unhook the briefcase, and drop it down into the hands of Carmella. Many members of the WWE Universe were upset with the finish, including Waltman, who said the finish ‘took a big giant crap’ on the historical bout:
“It felt like they took a big giant crap on it, to be honest with you. And here’s the thing, we can blame anything or anyone and point fingers. But, when it comes to these things; it’s Vince McMahon, that’s where the buck stops. That’s just the way it is.”
