New information regarding WWE’s decision to cancel Talking Smack as a weekly program has emerged. Despite reports of the show being canceled due to low viewership, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting that the reason for the weekly format coming to an end was due to Vince McMahon.
McMahon did not like the unscripted style of the show, and he was not pleased with the show and felt it wasn’t best for the company’s interests. McMahon is still strongly connected to his TV shows, but it has been reported that he is less physically present at TVs, as of late.
He was present last week and made the decision to cut the weekly format, and, per McMahon, eventually end it altogether.
