Jeff Hardy did not compete at Friday night’s WWE live event from Sacramento, California as advertised and Pro Wrestling Sheet is now reporting that he’s been dealing with a bad shoulder injury.
The Hardys were scheduled to face Luke Gallow and Karl Anderson, but Matt Hardy picked up a win over Karl Anderson in a singles match instead.
Sources close to Jeff indicate that the shoulder may require surgery, which would put him out of action for several months. It would also pave the way for a singles run for Matt.
The Hardys are not scheduled for a match at Sunday’s No Mercy pay-per-view, so Jeff’s condition won’t affect that card.
It’s unclear exactly when the injury occurred, but Hardy was holding his right shoulder throughout the Six-Pack Challenge main event on Monday’s RAW.
