– On Thursday, SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon announced that AJ Styles will challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship on next week’s SmackDown “Live” from Manchester, England.
Styles had been scheduled to face Rusev next week to earn a spot on Team SmackDown at Survivor Series, but Mahal’s attack on AJ Styles on Tuesday night led Shane to make the change.
In response to the news that he’s getting the title shot, AJ Styles wrote:
I’m sure he’ll bring his two cronies…
I’ll bring a Phenomenal Forearm and a Styles Clash. #AndNew #SDLive https://t.co/l8TU0yKf5w
