– On last night’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view pre-show United States Champion Bobby Roode held an Open Challenge for his title. Mojo Rawley ended up answering the challenge, but PWInsider is reporting that wasn’t WWE’s initial plans.
Apparently Dolph Ziggler was originally supposed to answer the challenge from Roode, however, WWE decided to have him enter the Royal Rumble match at number 30 instead. He’s also expected to appear at SmackDown Live tomorrow night.
– During the Women’s Royal Rumble match last night Nikki Bella eliminated her twin sister Brie Bella before going down to the final two with Asuka. Bella was eventually eliminated by Asuka and “The Empress Of Tomorrow” became the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble winner.
Per a report from Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, Nikki eliminated Brie as a part of a storyline for Total Bellas. The Bella Twins’ brother, JJ, was also backstage at the show along with the filming crew.
