Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon have been butting heads in storyline recently. This might be what has led Daniel Bryan to introduce a change earlier today regarding how Smackdown will be booked.

Bryan has introduced a top-10 system based on votes from Smackdown Superstars. This ranking system, Bryan states, will play a key role in how the Smackdown brand is booked moving forward.

Bryan explained that neither he or Shane are allowed to vote in the top 10. Superstars aren’t allowed to vote for themselves either.

While this is a kayfabe ranking which will most likely involve writers deciding how Superstars vote, it still seems as though this announcement could play a key role in how Smackdown is booked leading into WrestleMania.

Smackdown emanates from the Wells Fargo Center tonight in Philadelphia. The fourth straight night WWE has run an event in the building.
