Despite being advertised for the show, former WWE Champion The Big Show did not appear at the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble.
The sports entertainment company advertised Show for the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match at last Friday’s event pay-per-view event on the WWE Network in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah International Stadium with the idea that having several big men working the match would appeal to the Saudi audience.
Dave Meltzer noted on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Show couldn’t work the match because he got re-injured about three weeks ago while training for his in-ring return.
If you recall, Big Show had hip surgery last September. The former WWE Champion was last seen on WWE TV when he lost to Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage match.
