WWE teased a big rivalry between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe during the latest episode of SmackDown Live and it appears that we will get to see these two clashing inside a WWE ring, not in too distant future.
According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, WWE is planning a WWE title feud between these two in the upcoming time after Styles culminates his rivalry with Shinsuke Nakamura.
This report also reveals a possible spoiler for Backlash as a championship feud between Joe and AJ would mean that the current Champion will retain his title at the upcoming PPV.
Though it’s not specified when this rivalry will actually start so it’s possible that the encounter between Nakamura and Styles at the upcoming show may not be the final bout of their current rivalry.
