While this week’s Raw was able to maintain its audience for the SummerSlam go-home episode of the show, the same cannot be said about the SmackDown Live episode.
The go home edition of the Blue Branded Show saw a dip in viewership and the episode featuring Samoa Joe and AJ Styles in the main event segment drew a total of 2.189 million viewers.
This is down 0.36% from last week’s episode. The episode featuring The New Day vs. Bar in the main event had averaged 2.197 million viewers.
The show was #6 in cable viewership in the night, behind programs like Hannity, The Rachel Maddow Show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Ingraham Angle and Last Word.
The SmackDown episode also featured matches and segments like the opening segment among Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Carmella and the match between The New Day and Sanity.
You can check out a top ten moments video of the event posted by WWE on YouTube below, which features the match between Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin as the #1 moment from the episode:

The decline in the audience just days before the SummerSlam PPV is not a good sign for WWE. Now it’d be interesting to see how Officials react to it and if we see any changes to the programming of the show in upcoming times.
