Similar to previous weeks this week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured two dark matches, with one of them involving the former General Manager Daniel Bryan.
The first bout which took place before the show went on air, saw the former NXT Women’s Champion Asuka battling in a one on one match against Mandy Rose.
While Sonya Deville was in Mandy’s corner for this fight, Asuka was still able to pick up the victory and she defeated Rose with her Asuka Lock submission move.
The second dark match took place after 205 Live had aired and it saw former World Champion Daniel Bryan competing against the former NXT Champion Samoa Joe.
The match ended in a disqualification after Bryan’s SummerSlam opponent the Miz interfered in the bout which resulted in AJ Styles making the save.
This led to a brawl among all four involving men. The faces Styles and Daniel then cleared the ring and celebrated inside to send the crowd home happy.
As seen on SmackDown Live, Bryan’s wife Brie Bella attacked the Miz and Maryse and after this it was revealed that Paige has made a mixed tag match between these two couples official for the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV.
