Tuesday’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live from Newark, NJ averaged 2.087 million viewers, down from 2.545 million the previous week, which was the 1000th episode of the show, according to ShowbuzzDaily.

This episode was down 18% from last week’s show as well as the lowest viewership since the July 3 episode. The interesting note is the fact that it was the third least-watched show since the show moved to Tuesday nights on the USA Network. This was the go-home edition of the blue branded show for Sunday’s Evolution PPV.

SmackDown had some notable moments including appearances by Shane, McMahon, Rey Mysterio appearing on Miz TV and later wrestling The Miz, Daniel Bryan & AJ Styles taking on The Usos in a tag team match. Other moments included Jeff Hardy taking on Randy Orton in the main event. In case you missed the show, you can check out the results here.

Despite WWE putting some together some intriguing segments for the show, this episode faced some solid competition. The show had to go up against the MLB World Series game 1 between the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers pulling in 13.761 million viewers. Also on cable, that night was Hannity Rachel Maddow Show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Last Word, The Five, The Ingraham Angle, Special Report and The Story.

WWE will attempt to rebound on this show with next week’s episode. As of this writing, there are no matches or segments announced for the show.
