After weeks of hype, Shawn Michaels returned to the ring when he teamed up with Triple H to face the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel on Friday, and DX picked up the win.
However, during the match Triple H suffered an injury when he went over the top rope and fell to the floor.
WWE confirmed that Triple H tore a pectoral muscle, and he will be undergoing surgery when he returns to the United States.
WWE posted the following announcement:
“During the epic showdown between D-Generation X and The Brothers of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel, Triple H sustained what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle, WWE.com has learned. As a result, The Game plans to return to the United States this week to undergo surgical repair. Check back with WWE.com for more details as they become available.”
