One-half of the Mighty has been released from WWE. According to a report from Squared Circle Sirens, WWE has parted ways with Nick Miller but are keeping Shane Thorne, who will be repackaged as a single’s wrestler. The roster move breaks up a tag-team which had been together since 2010.

The Mighty most recently competed on NXT this week, in a losing effort Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. The 33-year-old Australian had been with the company since 2015. He also competed for Pro Wrestling NOAH from 2011 to 2015.

Thorne and Miller were a popular tag-team known as the Mighty Don’t Kneel before being signed to WWE. Upon debuting in NXT, they ultimately changed their names to TM-61 and later to just the Mighty.

They were awarded the Tokyo Sports “Tag Team of the Year” award in 2013. They are also 2x former GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions with Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Earlier this year, Miller spoke to WWE.com about the frustrations the team has felt dealing with injuries since they debuted in NXT.

“In NXT, both of us have been injured at times where it cost us some major momentum,” Miller said. “While frustrating, you really learn a lot about yourself and your partner when you are standing still and unable to compete.”
