Sami Zayn went out of action just a few months before Kevin Owens and with Owens back on TV, a lot of people have been wondering about Zayn’s status.
Now latest reports suggest that Sami might not be far away from a comeback and according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sami Zayn is ‘ready to return’.
Zayn lost to Bobby Lashley in a one on one match during the Money In The Bank event last year and he underwent double shoulder surgery in June. WWE started advertising both Zayn and his arch-rival Kevin Owens for events in December claiming that both the stars will be ‘coming back soon’.
Later in January, it was reported that the former NXT Champion has been seen at the WWE Performance Center and has started training for his return to the ring. The company then proceeded with Kevin’s return by airing vigilante for his new character as your everyday guy. He finally made his comeback on WWE Programming during this week’s episode of SmackDown.
Now with the reports of him being cleared, it will be interesting to see what the company is planning for Sami Zayn and when he makes his return to the TV.
