The Shield’s Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are slated to give a farewell address on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW. The company announced the news this afternoon when they revealed that the group would open the show.
This comes after The Shield reunited for a six-man tag team bout where they were victorious over Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin on Sunday night at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event.
During this match, WWE made sure to have Michael Cole put over the fact that this would be the final appearance for The Shield due to Ambrose leaving the company next month as his contract is slated to expire.
It will be interesting to see if this leads to a Fastlane rematch as The Shield vs. Corbin, Lashley and McIntyre is locally advertised for this TV event. It’s worth noting that The Shield are advertised for some dark main events after tonight’s RAW.
Corbin dropped a teaser about a possible rematch as he noted in a recent tweet that he thinks his team should’ve won.
The Refs in @WWE need to take a class from @ScottDawsonWWE and @DashWilderWWE on tag rules.
What the #Shield did to me at #WWEfastlane was highly illegal. We should have Won!

The company holds Monday Night RAW in Pittsburgh, PA at the PPG Paints Arena. Also confirmed for this show is a face-off with Batista and Triple H, plus Lashley vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor.
