We noted before how WWE had offered John Cena a match at WrestleMania, but the Cenation Leader is yet to take that deal and make the bout Official.
During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer again discussed this bout and revealed that WWE is going to some length to keep his match secret.
According to the report, even the people who know everything else about the show don’t know who his opponent is going to be, though as we noted before it’s not going to be Kurt Angle.
There has been some speculation about Lars Sullivan making his debut at the show and facing the Cenation Leader after Triple H claimed that there is much more to come during a recent conference call in regards to him.
However this isn’t the case, and while it’s possible that Lars attacks John after his bout, it’s sure that the NXT Star will not be competing against the 16 Time World Champion at the Grandest Stage Of Them All.
This still leaves us with the question of who would the Cenation Leader be facing at the show and looking at the card, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of options.
Almost all active top stars are booked for the event and it wouldn’t make sense to keep his match so secret just to have him face a returning star like Bray Wyatt.
It’s possible that WWE pulls out a big surprise and some big name makes a comeback to face John Cena but we’ll have to wait and see if it actually turns out to be the case.
