This week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw a couple of dark matches with Becky Lynch defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship in the dark main event.
The first dark match which took place before the show went on air saw the former NXT Champion Aleister Black taking on the former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.
Black was victorious in this bout. While both these men didn’t appear physically on this week’s SmackDown Live after their dark match, WWE did air another promo of Aleister, hyping his future.
The second dark match took place after the Blue Branded Show and 205 Live had gone off air and it saw Becky Lynch defending the SmackDown Women’s title.
She defended the title against one of her Money In The Bank opponents Charlotte Flair and the Man was able to defeat the Queen in this bout to retain her championship.
It’s worth mentioning that Becky pulled double duty with this bout as she had also wrestled Bayley and defeated her in a singles match during the broadcast of SmackDown Live earlier in the night.
Lynch is now scheduled to defend both her Women’s titles in different matches at the upcoming Money In The Bank PPV.
Charlotte Flair will be challenging her for the SmackDown Women’s title while Lacey Evans will try to win its Raw counterpart in a match against the Man on the show.
