Fans often complain about stale storylines and continuity issues on WWE programming and the WWE creative team is usually the ones to take the blame.
They believe that the corporate structure of the creative process leaves no room for innovation and the writers not working in sync with the performers leads to boring repetitive content.
However, as various interviews and backstage stories have revealed over the years, the lengthy creative process leaves the writers in a tough position too and they don’t deserve the entire blame.
WWE recently uploaded a new video on their YouTube channel which takes a deeper look at the company’s writers and their work in a documentary style footage.
The video, originally intended to be featured on WWE’s corporate website for recruitment purpose, sees the writers in action as they take on the task of writing almost 10 hours worth of television programs each week.
While the footage doesn’t go into a lot of details on the creative process that takes place behind the doors, it provides us a good look at the diversity of the group featuring people from various backgrounds.
The unlisted video which is only available via a direct link, also shows a glimpse of writers working with top stars like Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan and it’s worth a watch. You can check out the full video below:
