Percy Watson is reportedly leaving WWE to pursue other interests. According to a report from Squared Circle Sirens, the former NXT Superstar/Commentator is no longer with the company.

Watson was first signed by WWE in 2009 and wrestled in developmental until 2013 when he was released. He returned to the company as a commentator in 2016. In 2018, he began calling the action for 205 Live and Main Event.

Earlier this year, however, he was replaced on 205 Live by Aiden English and replaced by various commentators on Main Event as well. Watson then went back to NXT. He also called the action recently for the Worlds Collide shows on the WWE Network.

At the recent NXT tapings, however, Watson was replaced by Beth Phoenix.

Watson is reported to want to move into acting and pursue other interests outside wrestling.

A former NFL player with Washington, Watson played his college ball at Western Carolina University. After signing with WWE in 2009, he reported to Florida Championship Wrestling where he wrestled under his real name of Nick McNeil.

In 2010, Watson was ranked #238 in the PWI Top 500 rankings.
