It appears as though WWE already knows when they want Brock Lesnar to cash in his Money In The Bank opportunity. More importantly, they have also decided which champion he will be targeting.
At this point in time, it is reported that Lesnar will cash against Universal Champion, Seth Rollins. It’s expected to be for a matchup at WWE Super ShowDown, which takes place in Saudi Arabia on June 7th.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE intends to have Lesnar make this announcement next week on Monday Night RAW. He may also appear on the June 3rd go-home show prior to Super ShowDown.
He noted that, while Brock will be working the Saudi Arabia show, it’s likely the WWE Universe won’t see “The Beast Incarnate” afterwards until SummerSlam in August.
Although the company is attempting to hype up speculation over Brock’s decision, they have already announced Kofi Kingston versus Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship.
Granted, they could still have Brock Lesnar vs Kofi Kingston, assuming Lesnar doesn’t cash in his briefcase against Rollins on June 7th. The likelihood of the two competing in a non-championship match, however, is slim.
Lesnar won the MITB briefcase after inserting himself into the match as surprise entrant during last Sunday’s Money In The Bank event. His victory has been met with a mixed reaction from both fans, those in the wrestling industry, and WWE Superstars.
