Signing a TV deal with WarnerMedia for a weekly wrestling program is probably the biggest move AEW has made since its inception earlier this year.
During a recent interview, Dustin Rhodes who recently signed with the promotion after his release from WWE commented on this matter.
Rhodes was asked about the TV deal the company has signed and answering it, the former WCW Star said it’s cool to be back on TNT:
“It’s pretty cool. It’s been a long time. That’s my old friend – TNT/TBS. It’s really cool and almost magical that we’re back with TNT. It’s gonna be hopefully another war where [AEW] will step up their game and make everyone else step up their game. It’s good for the business with competition,”
Continuing on the topic, Dustin Rhodes said that he is very anxious to see how it all plays out and in the interview taken before the Double Or Nothing PPV, he said that he is glad to be on the first show of the company.
Apart from this, Dustin also discussed the recent signing of backstage personalities like Arn Anderson and Billy Gun, the characters of Sonny Kiss and Velveteen Dream reminding him of himself and more.
