It’s an end of an era for fans of the WWE comic book series created by BOOM! Studios. On Tuesday, the studio announced that they would be ending it with the forthcoming issue #25.
The studio sent out an email to subscribers to tell them that the series will be ending, with BOOM! offering alternative titles to subscribe to instead. The partnership started back in 2017, which saw gaps and character history for WWE performers be told in original stories.
Prior to the announcement, BOOM! had already established themselves by producing several licensed comic book series that included the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Over the years, WWE has produced several comic book series. Some notable comics include WWF Battlemania the early 90’s as well as WWE Heroes.
Dennis Hopeless, Serg Acuña, and Marco D’Alfonso are the creators behind the 25th installment in the series. It’s available for purchase for $4.99 at this link with the following description:
“All of the sacrifices AJ Styles has made have paid off-he’s atop the mountain of WWE and retains the WWE Championship. But there’s no time to rest, as perhaps his most dangerous challenge awaits-the Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe.”
