WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle took part in a Q&A session on his Facebook page where he took questions from fans.
Right off the bat, Angle was asked about who he thinks has the potential to lead the charge in WWE from NXT. The pro wrestling legend named NXT Champion Adam Cole, NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream, and former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano.
“I’ve been in this business way too long to predict anything like that. I think there are many talents that will make an impact.” Angle noted. “Velveteen or Cole or Gargano could be the ones to make the next impression in the business. It will be fun to watch.”
Angle lost his farewell match and ended his run as an active in-ring performer to Baron Corbin at the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium. Since then, he has mentioned that he signed a contract to remain with WWE in a backstage role.
WWE is slated to tape several episodes of NXT TV when the company returns to Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University this Wednesday and Thursday.
These episodes will air on the WWE Network in the coming weeks. Make sure to check out the site later this week for in-depth spoilers from the TV tapings.
