View Full Version : WWE RAW Viewership Suffers Big Drop Against NBA Finals

Monday’s edition of WWE RAW from San Jose, CA at the SAP Center averaged 2.125 million viewers, down from 2.405 million the previous week. This was the lowest viewed episode of RAW since December 24th and 31st of last year.

This show served as the post-show for the Super ShowDown pay-per-view event episode of RAW. Here is the hourly viewership breakdown, courtesy of ShowbuzzDaily:


Hour 1: 2.380 million
Hour 2: 2.086 million
Hour 3: 1.909 million

The episode was expected to decrease in viewership as this show had to go up against Game 5 of the NBA Finals between The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors that drew 18.217 million viewers on ABC. This was the highest viewed game of the series.

For comparison, the same episode last year drew million 2.751 viewers for hour one, 2.812 in the second hour, and in 2.629 the third hour.

Some of the matches that took place include Three On One Handicap Elimination Match that saw Lars Sullivan vs. The Lucha House Party, Braun Strowman, Ricochet & The Miz vs. Bobby Lashley, Cesaro & Samoa Joe in a six-man tag team match, Alexa Bliss & Lacey Evans vs. Bayley & Becky Lynch, The IIconics vs. Aliyah Nia & Lisa Lace, The Revival defeat Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder and The Usos to win the RAW Tag Team Titles, and Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins in a non-title match headliner.
