This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured an interesting dark match and it saw the Intercontinental Championship being defended in what many would consider a dream bout.
The match saw the current Champion Finn Balor defending his title against Japanese Legend Shinsuke Nakamura. Balor was able to defend his title successfully. It’s worth mentioning here that both these stars were kept off of the SmackDown Broadcast.
Nakamura does not have any ongoing rivalry and while Finn is engaged in a feud with Andrade, he was probably kept away from TV due to his opponent’s absence. For those who don’t know, Andrade is taking time off due to the passing of his mother.

This duo made another appearance during a commercial break at last night’s SmackDown from the Golden 1 Center and they went on to taunt the people of Sacramento, CA:

The tag champs did not appear on SmackDown Live other than this segment. They did appear on Raw this week where the duo picked up a win over enhancement talents.
