Batista competed in his final match at WrestleMania this year and with his career coming to an end, it’s time for the Animal to look back and relive the memories he has made in the industry.
His recent appearance on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast was one such opportunity where the former World Champion discussed his career in very detail and also revealed his favorite match of all time.
Batista, who has wrestled thousands of matches in his wrestling career, revealed that a match with Rey Mysterio they wrestled at a house show in Mexico was his favorite match of all time.
According to the former Champion, he wasn’t supposed to wrestle Rey on the event but it was in 2010 when he was gearing up to leave the company and he was really hot as a heel.
He knew that it was his last chance to work with Mysterio so he begged and pleaded to get the bout and per Batista, they gave the audience a PPV quality match.
They gave the audience every bell and whistle they can think of. Rey kicked out of his finisher and at the end they got a standing ovation for their performance. The former WWE Star was very proud of that match because he gave the audience their hero.
Apart from this, Batista also talked about possible future WWE appearances. He said that he will be happy to make an appearance to cut a promo but he will not disrespect himself or his career by going back and wrestling again.
