Triple H announced that WWE would air a weekly in-studio show on FOX Sports 1 when SmackDown Live comes to the FOX network later this year. The Game broke the news during an appearance on FS1 show First Things First back in April.
A record search of the US Patent & Trademark Office reveals WWE filed to trademark the phrase “WWE After The Bell” last week. There’s no confirmation yet on what this name would be used for, but there’s already speculation this will be used for this project.
WWE RAW announcer Renee Young is rumored to be hosting the FS1 show, which will air Tuesday nights and feature special guests and discussions about all things WWE.
In addition to this in-studio show, there have also been talks to bring NXT to FS1 later this year. This plans are still preliminary, but the idea is that WWE would use NXT to counter-program AEW’s Wednesday night series on TNT, which premieres in October.
SmackDown Live moves to FOX broadcast network Friday, October 4th.
