Despite being advertised for Monday’s RAW Reunion show in Tampa, former WWE and WCW Champion Sid did not appear. According to a recent report from Wrestling Observer Radio, Sid actually pulled out from the event days ahead of time.
“Sid Vicious actually had pulled out several days ago,” Dave Meltzer said in regards to the RAW Reunion show. “You know how this goes? They just kept advertising him anyway. No one is going to complain, I don’t think anyone even noticed.”
Bryan Alvarez would continue to say that he noticed and was disappointed he didn’t get to see Sid.
59-year-old Sid Eudy hasn’t wrestled an official match since 2017 and his previous one before then came in 2012. He still makes frequent appearances at legends events and autograph signings, however. It is not clear what led to his decision to pull out of the RAW Reunion show.
Sid is a former 2x WCW World Heavyweight Champion and a 2x WWF World Heavyweight champion as well. He also won the WCW United States Championship once. Sid was also awarded the “Comeback of the Year” award in 1996 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
