The current NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits have been making regular appearances on Raw in recent weeks and getting over with their segments. Their appearances has led to people wondering if the two could be close to making their in-ring debut on the main roster too.

However, the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter provides some update on the NXT Tag Team’s future and it reveals that while things can change, WWE currently has no plans for Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford to be involved in anything but backstage segments on Raw.

The Newsletter also noted that the duo wearing their NXT tag team title belts for their segments is considered to be an advertisement for the development territory. The idea behind it is that if you like seeing the two on Raw and want to watch more of them then you can do so in NXT on WWE Network.

The Street Profits made their first Raw appearance during the July 1st episode of the show and they have been making regular appearances on the show ever since. Though their segments have been used to promote future events and enhance current storylines and the duo is not considered to have officially been called up to the main roster.

Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford are currently scheduled to defend their NXT tag titles against Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish at the upcoming NXT: Takeover: Toronto II event on August 10 during the SummerSlam weekend.
