WWE announced yesterday that Finn Balor was being pulled from the SmackVille network special because he is not medically cleared to compete at the show.
However, while the company claimed that the former Intercontinental Champion is dealing with an injury, a new report reveals that this is not the case.
Per reports from PWinsider, the former NXT Champion was not pulled from the show due to an injury and he is actually dealing with an illness.
While the report does not reveal specific details about his condition, an illness means that Balor might be able to return to ring sooner rather than later.
It was reported recently that Finn Balor has asked for a couple of months off from WWE to recharge and that the company officials have granted his request.
He is believed to be taking time off from the company after the upcoming SummerSlam PPV and he is scheduled to go one on one against Bray Wyatt at the upcoming show.
So it wouldn’t be a surprise if Balor loses his bout against the former WWE Champion and then goes on the vacation, allowing Wyatt to gather some momentum on his re-debut.
