WWE has finalized the date and location for their next event in Saudi Arabia after going back and forth on the exact date.
On Monday morning, PWinsider.com reported that WWE will present Crown Jewel 2019 on Thursday, October 31st. Yes, Halloween.
Thus, it means the WWE crew will be spending Halloween performing in the Middle East. The event will be held in Riyadh at the King Saud University Stadium and air live on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network.
As of this writing, the start times for the pre-show and main card have yet to be announced but historically, these shows air in the afternoon here in the United States. So if WWE sticks to previous events then it shouldn’t affect fans from taking their kids out for Halloween.
This event marks the fourth show that WWE has aired from Saudi Arabia. The original target date was November 1st.
It will also be the same name as last year’s Crown Jewel event that took place last November that was headlined by a tag team match that saw Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. The Undertaker & Kane.
WWE started their deal with Saudi Arabia last year as the company signed a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority to bring two shows per year to the country in support of a new campaign, Saudi Vision 2030.
