View Full Version : WWE SmackDown Live Tops 2 Million Viewers For SummerSlam Go-Home Show

Tuesday’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live from Detroit, Michigan at the Little Caesars Arena averaged 2.088 million viewers, which is up from 1.911 million the previous week, according to ShowbuzzDaily.

Last week’s show had to go up against the democratic party presidential debate on CNN that averaged 8.643, which had an impact on SmackDown’s viewership.

The episode was expected to increase in viewership it served as the go-home show episode of RAW for the SummerSlam pay-per-view event this Sunday.

The same SmackDown episode last year drew 2.197 million viewers.

The show had to go up against Hannity that did 3.310 million viewers, Rachel Maddow Show with 2.595 and Tucker Carlson Tonight that drew 3.074.

Matches that took place on this show include Dolph Ziggler vs. Ali, Ember Moon vs. Natalya, Aleister Black vs. Sami Zayn, and The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. Daniel Bryan & Rowan in the headliner.

Also, it featured the fallout and reveal of the mystery attacker of Roman Reigns. “The Big Dog” got his answers from Buddy Murphy as to who was behind the attacks, which was Erick Rowan.
