The plans that WWE officials have set for the main event of their next pay-per-view event, Clash of Champions, surfaced online.

Braun Strowman is set to headline the upcoming event by challenging WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. This is according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

With everything in WWE, plans could always change due to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon but Strowman vs. Rollins was the direction as of this week.

This feud comes after how Monday’s episode of RAW ended. In the headliner, Rollins was wrestling AJ Styles. This led to RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson hit the ring to attack Rollins.

Ricochet tried to make the save but was outnumbered. This led to Strowman coming out and cleared the ring to stand tall with Rollins and Ricochet to close the show. Strowman handed the title to Rollins before having a staredown.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how WWE plans on getting to Strowman vs. Rollins whether that be a straight challenge or Strowman turning heel.

WWE presents the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event on in that will air on the WWE Network.

As noted, it’s been reported that the finals for this year’s WWE King of the Ring tournament will take place at this show.
