Ahead of his King’s Court segment featuring the former Women’s Champion Sasha Banks on this week’s Raw, WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler talked to Sports Illustrated and revealed his thoughts on the boss.
Sasha made her surprise return to WWE programming during last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. While she initially acted as a babyface, it didn’t take long for the former Champion to change her colors and become a heel.
Lawler first discussed how Banks being flamboyant and arrogant has contributed to her success and the wrestling veteran then went on to compare her with the WWE legend Randy Savage:
“Sasha Banks reminds me a lot of Randy Savage, they both share that unwavering tunnel vision, dead set on success, and not intimidated by anything or anyone because their goal is to get to the top."
Though later, Jerry also admitted that he doesn’t think Banks wants to be compared with anyone and he said that she wants to be remembered as the first-ever Sasha Banks.
Sasha Banks returned to WWE TV last week during a segment on the show. She first consoled an emotional Natalya who was remembering her father but the Boss then turned heel and attacked the Canadian Star.
Becky Lynch tried to make the save but she was also taken down by Sasha and it looks like the two will be feuding over the Raw Women’s Championship in upcoming times.
