The premiere episode of WWE SmackDown Live on the FOX network will be a 20th Anniversary special.

FOX is helping promote the brand during its various sports broadcasts in hopes of increasing ratings when the show gets to the network.

Brock Lesnar, WWE Hall of Famers Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair, and Sting are advertised to appear.

WWE is expected to load up this show with several top names and matches that will be announced in the coming weeks as the show gets closer.

FOX is paying WWE $1 billion over five years for the rights to SmackDown Live after inking the contract last year with the company.

The October 4th show takes place from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.
