Former Impact Wrestling star and current NXT talent Joaquin Wilde is set to undergo surgery for a broken eye socket soon, according to reports from Pro Wrestling Sheet.
The wrestling star suffered the injury back in July while training. The incident in which he got injured was described as a “freak accident” by the sources.
At the time, Doctors had held off the surgery to see if the injury would heal without it but now they have decided that operation is the best option to deal with the issue.
His expected return date is not known yet but the word is that he won’t be out for long and he will miss a few more weeks of action after the procedure is done.
Joaquin started his wrestling training in 2003 and he made his debut after almost a year in August 2004. He spent the next few years wrestling for various companies in the independent circuit.
His first big break in the business came when TNA signed him in 2011. He started wrestling for them under the ring name DJZ and won a number of championships during his run with the promotion including the X Division title.
He left the company in December last year and in May it was announced by WWE that they have signed the former Impact Wrestling star to a development contract.
