Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez is in high demand from the top pro wrestling companies including AAA, NJPW, AEW, and WWE.
Dave Meltzer mentioned on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Velasquez is talking to every promotion that includes WWE as he had a meeting with WWE recently.
This comes after he had a meeting with New Japan Pro Wrestling when they recently ran a show in California. The UFC star is still scheduled to work the AAA show at the Forum on October 13th where he’ll compete in another match.
As of this writing, he has yet to sign with WWE as he’s still under contract with the UFC and has one date left on his AAA deal. Cain is set to do a meet and greet in San Jose at Mount Pleasant High where he was supposed to do a run-in. The run-in was nixed by the UFC.
It appears that there is a hold-up in his UFC deal regarding him working events in the United States.
Meltzer added that Cain is negotiating with AEW and WWE although WWE is serious about signing him to a deal.
