Edge has been the center of many rumors recently and it was reported not too long ago that WWE officials had an internal discussion about the former World Champion possibly returning to ring.
So fans got excited when Fight Oracle reported that the Rated R superstar has been cleared to compete by WWE doctors and he is under contract with the company.
The former Champion however seemingly responded to these reports from his Twitter account and killed the rumors saying that he has not been cleared:
??BREAKING?? Edge AKA @EdgeRatedR has been medically cleared to turn to in ring competition for @WWE. No word currently on when he will wrestle but he’s medically cleared and under contract with WWE.

No I’m not and no I’m not.

Edge wrestled his last televised match at WrestleMania XXVII where he defeated Alberto Del Rio and retained the World Heavyweight Championship. He announced his retirement from in-ring competition during the April 15 episode of SmackDown Live in 2011.
The rumors of his in-ring return first picked up pace when Edge made a surprise appearance during the SummerSlam pre-show earlier this year and got physical by delivering a spear to Elias.
